The construction of power plants in the Treska river

 
 
 
 The concession contract was concluded between the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy and the company Istria Sviluppo srl.
 
Object: financing, design, construction, commissioning, administration, maintenance of hydropower plants on the river Treska, Erseka district, Korca region. At the end of the concession period, the facilities will be transferred to the Contracting Authority. The contract is in the form of BOT (construction, operation and transfer of ownership and operation at the end of the concession contract to the Contracting Authority). There are 4 hydropower plants in this river. The concessionaire must respect the quotas of the 2 existing hydropower plants Treska 1 and Treska 2 without compromising their hydropower utilization.
The Concessionaire will take over the existing site and facility and may add to or expand it. The concessionaire has the right to the peaceful enjoyment of the square which means that there should be no irregular interference by the Contracting Authority or any other state authority. At the end of the concession period, the concessionaire must return the use of the site to the Authority, transfer ownership of the hydropower plant and existing existing facilities.
The concessionaire uses the square in its original condition. If for the use of the square it will be necessary to expropriate the land that is considered private property, the concessionaire must submit this claim through accurate documents to the Contracting Authority. The Contracting Authority may approve this claim of the concessionaire in relation to the expropriation of private property, but all expropriation procedures and costs must be covered by the concessionaire himself.
The Concessionaire will design, finance, build, test, operate and maintain the hydropower plant.
